I am trying to decide how I am going to get 5 cats into a 1 bedroom apt and be able only to pay 1 pet deposit?

Me and my husband are downsizing to a 1 bed 1 bath apt, from a 2bed 2bath duplex. I have 5 cats, one momma and four babies that are all fixed and litter box trained. My husband is trying to get me to think about the logical not the emotional. I think that I am not capable of that. I may never have children so I feel like they are my babies. We are only going to be in this apt for a year. But apparently in the lease they reserve the right to enter the apt peacefully to do maintenance and things like filter changes even if we are not home and they don't have to announce themselves. Do they do that to see if you have any undoented pets? I really don't want any trouble with them. I also wonder if it is possible to get that pet deposit back later? Just like the apt deposit?
