My dog lost her voice after being at a kennel.?

I have a dog, her breed is a west highland white terrier, she is 7 years old, and a female (if you need to know details) I sent her to a kennel while on vacation for two weeks and when I got back I noticed that her bark was gone... i mean it wasn't gone gone but sometimes you couldn't hear it and other times she sounded like a different dog (a huge dog).... what has happened to her? does she have a doggy cold?
