Should I file a complaint against my doctor?

I recently had a pretty severe allergic reaction caused from two-part epoxy glue. My doctor has treated these for me before but we never did find the cause and I went 5 yrs. without another incident. I have been with this same Family Practice office for 40yrs. and am recently unemployed & uninsured due to plant closing. So I didn't think twice when I called and spoke to the nurse to have her ask the doctor if he could just call in a percription, for Prednisone, which was the treatment 5yrs. prior. She said she would ask, took down my contact info, and said they would call me back. This was at 2:10pm they close at 5, I hadn't heard anything, was suffering miserably, so at 3 min. to 5 I called and asked the receptionist if the nurse just hadn't gotten to her calls yet. She said yes, the nurse was still there and would be doing her calls soon. I waited till 7pm before rushing to a walk-in clinic which closed at 8pm. They never called, not even the next day. In my opinion they left me for dead, I have some pictures, but I will warn you, they are awful.
