Your parents could have been fine with your brother because they thought that they could still count on you to be straight. Most likely your parents freaked out because they are blaming themselves. They probably think that they are bad parents because both of you turned out gay/. Try talking to them about this. They might need a little convincing that they aren't bad parents. Good luck!
