Just wondering....."?

If you accepted a check from the government to help you out of a prediciment(un-employment,food stamps,medicaid,etc) when you were back on your feet,did you repay the money or donate time to offset the help you received?Or,did you consider it to be an "entitlement" and therefore no repayment of anykind was necessary?
