ANIME/MANGA with a heroine who's not annoying?

Red River (manga) - the main heroine does seem a little helpless at first (she WAS thrown about 2000 years back in time, after all! Most of us would be), but she turns into a kick- fighter, no-nonsense person, and definitely acts on her feelings towards the guy.
